Country Club of the South is located just north of Atlanta, Georgia, in the North Fulton area. The club has an active tennis program for all ages and skill levels, including nearly 100 teams that compete each year in both the Atlanta Lawn Tennis Association (ALTA) and Atlanta Community Tennis Association (ACTA) leagues. Five teaching professionals support the development of beginner to tournament players using advanced teaching techniques. The club also has an award-winning Jack Nicklaus Signature championship golf course and a comprehensive range of sporting and social activities.

The volunteer-run Country Club of the South Charity Guild, which is managing this event, annually selects various charitable organizations to receive grants up to $50,000. Past beneficiaries have included people from all walks of life, including infants with inadequate care, teenagers needing respite from a dangerous home situation, people recovering from alcohol or drug abuse, children needing education support and life skills, and families confronting job loss, illness, or other difficult circumstances.
